Burlington Mall, a Simon mall, is inviting families to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season with Santa and a variety of holiday programming taking place throughout November and December. The full line-up of holiday events, community partnerships, entertainment, and more are open to the public, and Burlington-area families are encouraged to join in the festive fun! This holiday season, Simon Malls invites everyone to ‘Find It. Simon® Santa Photo Experience Now – Monday, December 24th Center Court, Lower Level Children and their families can experience the joy and magic of the holiday season with a visit to the Simon® Santa Photo Experience. The GYMBOREE GROUP is a specialty retailer operating stores selling high-quality apparel and accessories for children under the Gymboree, Gymboree Outlet, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 brands.   Mix104.1FM’s Karson & Kennedy’s 10,000 Toys for Girls & Boys to benefit Toys for Tots Saturday, November 17th – 11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. Thursday, November 29th – 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Center Court, Lower Level Mix104.1FM’s Karson & Kennedy will be onsite near the Santa set for ‘Karson & Kennedy’s 10,000 Toys for Girls & Boys!’ to benefit Boston-area Toys for Tots. Karson & Kennedy fans, as well as shoppers who are at Burlington Mall during the collection dates and times, are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help make a local child’s holiday wish come true!   Pet Photo Night with Santa Sunday, November 18th – 6:30 – 8:30p.m. Sunday, November 25th – 6:30 – 8:30p.m. Sunday, December 16th – 8:00 – 9:30p.m. Center Court, Lower Level The popular Pet Photo Nights add a magical element to visiting with Santa, as many pet owners view their pets as important members of the family.  Pets will have a turn to visit with Santa on Sundays in November and December. Pet Photo Nights are hosted after the mall closes and the set gets an extensive cleaning following the event to remove any potential risk to allergy sufferers. *NO RESERVATIONS NECESSARY* *All pets must be leashed or crated and must enter and exit the mall through the mall entrance between LensCrafters and Johnny Rockets* Caring Santa Sunday, December 2nd – 9:00 – 10:30a.m. Sunday, December 9th – 9:00 – 10:30a.m. Center Court, Lower Level  Caring Santa provides a sensory-friendly environment for families of children with special needs, to safely experience the time-honored tradition and magic of Santa. Guests can register in advance at www.simon.com/caringsanta or the following Eventbrite site: December 2nd or December 9th.  This is an event dedicated to providing families a subdued and welcoming environment as many steps are taken to reduce sensory triggers, creating a more comforting environment for the children’s magical visit with Santa.  Caring Santa events have expanded from seven Simon malls in 2011 to 111 Simon malls today, reflecting the positive impact of this unique program.   Hanukkah Celebration Sunday, December 9th – 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Primark Court, Lower Level This festive celebration and Menorah lighting will take place with the Chabad Center for Jewish Life of Arlington-Belmont with Rabbi Avi Bukiet. There will be arts & crafts, small bites including donuts and latkes, a magic show and more!  At 3:45p.m. Rabbi Bukiet will light the 7th candle on the menorah in the Primark wing.   Burlington Mall Hosts Annual Wish Tree to Support Burlington’s People Helping People Friday, November 23rd – Wednesday, December 12th Lord & Taylor Wing, Upper Level Burlington Mall will host the annual Holiday Wish Tree to support People Helping People. The Wish Tree has been a staple at the mall over the holidays for over 40 years. It is a way for local residents to help families in need within the community during the holiday season.
  • Shoppers choose a Wish card displayed on the volunteer table
  • A People Helping People volunteer will transfer the information from the Wish card onto an ornament
  • After the wish has been fulfilled, shoppers return the ornament along with the wish item to the People Helping People table by 8:00p.m., on Wednesday, December 12th
  • The ornament will then be added to the People Helping People Christmas tree on display on the Upper Level of the Lord & Taylor wing.
  Teen Challenge Charity Giftwrap Friday, November 23rd – Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24th Near Lord & Taylor (Lower Level)   Salvation Army Bell Ringing Monday, November 12th – Monday, December 24th – 10:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. Food Court Entrance (near Legal Sea Foods), Lord & Taylor Entrance, Macy’s Entrance   National Cookie Day Tuesday, December 4th – 3:00 – 6:00p.m. Guest Services, Lower Level On National Cookie Day, treat yourself to a complimentary cookie, Santa’s favorite! Simon and Burlington Mall have partnered with Cookies for Kids Cancer, a non-profit organization that raises funds for pediatric cancer research. (While supplies last). With the holiday season well underway shoppers can also expect to see random acts of giving from the Burlington Mall management team that includes surprising random shoppers with goody bags filled with gift certificates from select Burlington Mall retailers and holiday treats.
