Rockport, MA, March 23, 2009 – Sean Riley, Chief Operating Officer for Maine Course Hospitality Group (MCHG), announces the appointment of Matt Anzivino as General Manager for the Rockport Inn & Suites, in Rockport, MA, formerly the Sandy Bay Motor Inn. Most recently, Anzivino operated the Stone Horse Resort in Cape Cod. Prior to that Mr. Anzivino was involved with management of a number of Marriott hotels including a Courtyard and Residence Inn around Boston.
“We could not have asked for a more perfect fit. Matt has the quality experience of working with Marriott, but has also revived an older independent property and taken it through an extensive renovation.” explains Riley. Anzivino adds, “I have seen the quality hotels Maine Course owns and operates and am excited to bring this local Rockport hotel back to its glory.”
The Rockport Inn & Suites expects to spend a significant amount of money in a top to bottom renovation before it reopens in May. Included in this project are 32″ LCD HD flat panel TV’s, completely new bathrooms and guestrooms, renovation of the large pool, fitness room, public spaces, as well as its 3 meeting rooms. This hotel will offer similar amenities to the leading hotel brands including a business center, High Speed Wireless access and Deluxe Continental Breakfast.
