On Sunday, November 22, 2015, Clemente Productions held the annual Miss Massachusetts USA® and Miss Massachusetts Teen USA® pageant—one of the state’s most anticipated events. An enthusiastic audience convened at the sold-out Lowell Memorial Auditorium as the state’s new titleholders were crowned.

Contestants in both the Miss and Teen categories competed in three proportional segments: evening gown, fitness/swimsuit, and interview. The winners will receive college scholarships and philanthropic opportunities; they will also be eligible to compete for the national titles of Miss USA® / Miss Teen USA®.

Whitney Sharpe, 21, of Burlington, MA, was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA® 2016. She is currently a student at Lynn University where she is double majoring in broadcast journalism and fashion merchandising. Previously named an All American Scholar, her career goal is to become an on-air anchor for a major television network.

Alexis Frasca, 17, of Franklin, MA, was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen USA® 2016. She is captain of her high school varsity cheerleading team, vice president of her music production club, editor of the school’s literary magazine, and she has plans to study fashion design in New York next year.

“I am thrilled to have two new titleholders in Massachusetts represent our state at the upcoming Miss USA® Miss Teen USA® pageants and vie for the national title,” says Laurie Clemente, executive director. “Our state pageant has had success story after success story such as Shawnae Jebbia and Susie Castillo who both went on to become Miss USA®; Jackie Bruno, a local news anchor, and Maria Menounos, who went on to celebrity stardom as an anchor and actress. The Miss Massachusetts USA® and Miss Massachusetts Teen USA® competitions offer an incredible opportunity for local women to advance their personal and professional goals.”
