Antonio Bettencourt will tell you he’s not a pastry chef or “a big dessert person,” but it is hard to buy that line once you’ve tried his tiramisu. Homemade gelatos, Nutella donuts, and a peerless toffee pudding, (which cannot be taken off the menu without mayhem ensuing in the streets) are all full of warm, comforting, and exquisitely balanced flavor. He puts joy in a dish.
“This place has the best cinnamon Danish, ever! The apple Danish is great, too. The éclairs rock, and they make a pumpkin whoopie pie, which sounds freaky but is wonderful. Really great stuff in here! I’ve never had anything bad. (Plus, my dogs like their homemade dog biscuits.)” –Megan
