Crowd flips for Flipping Boston hosts, Dave Seymour and Peter Souhleris, and design experts at Northshore magazine’s 2nd Annual Love Your Home event.

Northshore magazine rolled out the red carpet at Landry & Arcari’s Salem showroom on April 17 to welcome more than 160 guests to its second annual Love Your Home event. Joining Northshore and a team of design experts were A&E’s Flipping Boston Dave Seymour and Peter Souhleris whose hilarious emceeing made the event all the more fun!

The expert design panel, which included Sue Adams of Sue Adams Interiors, Jerry Arcari and Julie Arcari of Landry & Arcari Oriental Rugs and Carpeting, Lucy Dearborn of Lucia Lighting & Design, Steve and Susan Howell of Howell Custom Building, Jason Sevinor and Mindy Sevinor-Feinberg of Designer Bath & Salem Plumbing, and Peter White of Zen Associates, reviewed more than 30 design challenges.

Three winners in three categories were chosen and presented by the panel with conceptual solutions to their challenges. The winners of the master bed/bath design category were Andrea and Gary Siy of Byfield; Andrea and Tracie Fountas of Andover won outdoor living; and Paula and Nathan Moser of Boxford claimed interiors. “It was so great to work with other design professionals and give winners the thrill of seeing the solutions to their design challenges,” says Sue Adams. Guests enjoyed insider tips, tricks, and how-to advice.

Design challenge winner Andrea Siy was delighted with the solution to her master bedroom and bath challenge. For 10 years, the Siys have been looking for a way to redesign their master bedroom to give them more closet space and a master bathroom. Siy was aware of the difficulty of this particular issue and was thrilled with the proposed solution. “I really liked working with Steve Howell of Howell Custom Building. He knows what he is doing. I am also

very pleased with the decorating ideas from Sue Adams of Sue Adams Interiors,” says Siy.

“The Love Your Home event gives our readers an opportunity to see, firsthand, the talent we have on the North Shore. An added bonus is the opportunity to raise funds through raffle ticket sales; this year, proceeds were given to Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to all the professionals who created virtual designs for the three lucky winners,” says Nancy Berry, Northshore editor.
