Newburyport retailers and restaurants participate this year in the city’s annual Holiday Invitation Nights on the first three Fridays in December, staying open late and offering discounts and refreshments. The evenings, which run from 6 to 9 p.m., allow shoppers to stroll the streets of town, enjoy the holiday decorations and entertainment, and shop locally.
