This year, ditch the crowds and chaos of Black Friday for Small Business Saturday and support our local businesses here on the North Shore. Here’s our roundup of can’t-miss perks this Thanksgiving weekend. Shop ethically, shop slowly, and shop small.

Peabody

Peabody Main Streets will be buzzing with activity this Saturday. An ice-skating rink, a live DJ, a s’mores station, and gingerbread house decorating are just some of the many (mostly free!) goings-on lined up. Also don’t miss the live nativity at Center Church or the Grinch Who Stole Christmas in the Black Box Theater. Shop the North Shore Holiday Market at the Wiggin Auditorium featuring work from over 60 local makers and artists. And it all culminates in a Tree Lighting at City Hall at 4 p.m.
