Boston communications and marketing firm State6 announces the addition of Senior Vice-President Gisela Germano, who is one of the top media investment and brand strategists in the industry. “There are few in the field with the experience, network and creativity of Gisela,” said State6 CEO Aaron Sells. “We are building a winning team here and we’re so excited to add Gisela. She’s worked with some of the largest and most successful brands in the world and we can’t wait to see what she does with our diverse and vibrant client roster.” Germano comes to State6 with an impressive track record of success working with some of the nation’s most recognizable brands and largest media platforms. She managed a $250 million annual advertising budget for Arnold Worldwide/Havas Media, oversaw large-scale local and national TV buys and built strategic alliances with the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the NCAA and other global partners for clients such as McDonald’s, Choice Hotels, VW, Goodyear, Royal Caribbean and Fidelity. At Boathouse Marketing and Communications, she built a fledgling media team from a single employee to more than 20 while boosting media billings from $300,000 to $30 million working on high profile local brands such as Eversource, Massport, Steward Health Care, Children’s Hospital, UMass, and Paragon Expo. Fluent in English and Portuguese, Germano was born in Cape Verde and grew up in West Africa and Europe before moving to the U.S. as a teenager. She’s a Brandeis University graduate with experience in a wide variety of industries, including health care, hospitality, life sciences, retail, finance, government, auto and utilities.
