The ninth annual A Reason To Ride for Cancer Research, presented by Fuddruckers, will be held on Sunday, September 11 at 8:00 a.m. at 75 Sylvan Street in Danvers. The funds raised by the ride since it started in 2008 have supported research initiatives and lab researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Last year, more than 185 cyclists rode 10-, 25- or 50-mile rides on a spectacular coastal route along North Shore towns starting in Danvers, and biking into Wenham, Hamilton, Essex, Manchester by the Sea, Gloucester, Ipswich, Georgetown and Topsfield, raising more than $65,000.
