I may have found the best new view in Boston—and the good news is, it’s accessible to anyone with a taste for bubbles, snacks, and caviar. In August, James Beard Award finalist and renowned restaurateur Tiffani Faison opened Bubble Bath Boston on the rooftop of the citizenM Hotel in Back Bay. Private elevators whisk guests to the 15th floor (you can also ride up via the hotel’s main lifts), where a panoramic vista of the Charles River unfolds.
On a temperate September evening, I joined a friend at magic hour. At Bubble Bath, that means an orange pink sunset visible from every vantage point—including the outdoor patio. “I think this might be the best view in Boston,” my friend said, and I couldn’t disagree.

The menu, crafted by Faison herself, puts snacking front and center: Think inventive sandwiches, small plates, and a few “warm and roasty” dishes meant for sharing. A butter and Gruyère sandwich topped with summer truffles turns the humble grilled cheese into an object of desire, while a tonnato-inspired steak tartare—chopped steak with tuna mayo, crispy capers, and bitter endive—hits every umami note.
The lobster dip, warm and generously studded with chunks of lobster, reimagines a familiar dish with charm and substance. Sweet local corn, charred poblano peppers, and fresh cilantro lend brightness, while a sleeve of Ritz crackers provides just the right nostalgic crunch.

Salads rotate with the season, but mine—a late-summer mix of tomatoes and plums cloaked in burratini, with basil and squash blossoms—was a perfect farewell to the harvest. Other options include a Greek salad, a Ventresca tuna salad, and a chicken “tikka” variation. The steak frites, the heartiest dish on the menu, satisfies those seeking something entrée-sized, though the plates are intentionally shareable—a welcome philosophy for the season of giving.
Of course, celebration is part of the atmosphere. Before my visit, Bubble Bath arrived at my doorstep by way of a gift package: a split of Moët, a tin of Sevruga Imperial caviar, Bonilla a la Vista Spanish potato chips, and a mother-of-pearl spoon. Because really, what is a place called Bubble Bath without bubbles—and caviar?

The restaurant offers five sparkling options by the glass, including the nonvintage Premier Cru Bertrand-Delespierre Champagne and the 2022 Davide Vignato Pet-Nat. The bottle list goes deep, with stunners like a 1996 Krug and a magnum of Pierre Peters Blanc de Blancs from Mesnil-sur-Oger.

Caviar service ranges from 30g to 125g, featuring American sturgeon, Imperial Sevruga, and Sturia Osetra varieties, served with potato chips, crème fraîche, and traditional garnishes. For true indulgence, the “caviar cart tea service” offers 125 grams, toast points, mini biscuits, and even cannoli service—best paired with frozen Truman vodka for the full experience. Fifteen floors above Back Bay—and less than an hour from the North Shore—it’s an easy evening getaway or a staycation waiting to happen. With its blend of glamour, playfulness, and panoramic charm, Bubble Bath Boston invites you to sip, snack, and soak in the city from on high.
