The Marblehead Museum invites museum members and friends to a talk entitled “All the Fashion: Clothing for Daily Life in 18th Century New England” on Thursday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. at 170 Washington Street. Join costume historians Victoria and Matthew Brenckle on an exploration of everyday clothing in colonial America. Using accurate reproductions of 1770s garments, they will discuss how the fashionable (and not so fashionable) acquired and wore their clothes, from shoes to hats, and everything in between.

The Marblehead Museum is proud to offer this educational program free of charge and invites everyone to attend. After the talk, enjoy some birthday cake to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Lee Mansion. The Annual Meeting of the Marblehead Museum begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to all members. Reservations recommended at info@marbleheadmuseum.org or 781-631-1768.

The museum’s Lecture Series is generously sponsored by Marble Harbor Investment Counsel.
