Few places are better than the North Shore for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you’re craving a full Irish breakfast, bangers and mash, a classic boiled dinner, or maybe Guinness donuts, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a rundown of some great spots.   Breakfast Feeling raucous first thing? Head over to Paddy Kelly’s (154 Washington St, Peabody, (978) 532-2370, paddykellys.com) for Eggs and Kegs starting at 9 a.m. Paddle Inn (27 State Street, Newburyport, (978) 572-1242, paddleinnsurf.com) is celebrating starting at 10 a.m., with chocolate Guinness donuts (plain chocolate for kids) and an Irish breakfast plate with sunny eggs, Irish sausage patty, Guinness sauce, potato pancake, and soda bread. After you’ve eaten your fill, dance on down the street to Port Tavern (84 State St., Newburyport, theporttavern.com), where the Bracken School of Irish Dance is performing at 11 a.m.   Lunch Just about everyplace on the North Shore is likely to be serving a traditional boiled dinner, from Blue Ox in Lynn (theblueoxlynn.com) to Park Lunch in Newburyport (parklunch.com). To enjoy your corned beef with a side of live music, try the Pickled Onion, where they are dishing it up all day, with Irish music by Tobin & Leahy from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. (355 Rantoul St., Beverly, facebook.com/thepickledonionbev).   Dinner We know the Irish Cottage (17 Branch St. Methuen, 978-208-4347, theirishcottagepub.com) is good for all three meals – they open up for breakfast at 7 a.m.! But we like them for dinner because they are all-Irish, all the time. If you’ve had your fill of corned beef, check out the Irish nachos, or the fish and chips. If you need more boiled dinner, grab a buddy and enjoy the Taste of Ireland for two. Over at The Loft (1140 Osgood Street, North Andover, 978-686-0026, loftsteakandchophouse.com), they’ll be serving up corned beef with live music by the Whiskey Sippers from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.   Dessert Stop by Melt Ice Cream (60 Washington St., Salem, meltsalem.com) for Guinness ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels. Or visit Trina’s Starlite Lounge (37 Main St., Amesbury, 978-792-5746, trinastarlitelounge.com) for Bailey’s Irish Cream-Mint Oreo Pie. All month long over at Bancroft & Co. (Northshore Mall, Peabody, 978- 817-3670, bancroftandco.com/), guests can enjoy a sundae that features mint chocolate chip ice cream, brownies, and Bailey’s Irish Cream chocolate sauce, topped with an adorable meringue shamrock. Not boozy enough for you? TWK (14 Thompson St., Winchester, 781-729-0204, twk-winchester.com) is serving up Leprechaun Cake – a Guinness chocolate layer cake with mint cream cheese filling topped with whiskey chocolate ganache.   Nightcap Not finished celebrating? Why not book the Room with a Brew package at the Beauport Hotel (beauporthotel.com/special-offers)—it includes a ride to Cape Ann Brewing Co. and some terrific swag from the Gloucester brewery.   Slainte!
