  The Clean River Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning and maintaining the Merrimack River in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. As the second largest watershed in New England, the Merrimack River is the drinking water supply for over 300,000 area residents. The Clean River Project was founded in 2005 by Rocky Morrison and a group of committed volunteers to stop the contamination on the river. The Clean River Project has removed over 100,000 tons of trash and debris from the Merrimack River including more than 10,000 tires and over 100 stolen and abandoned cars.
