This winter, discover and explore Ward Reservation in Andover on January 28, for a community-favorite event run by The Trustees of Reservations in partnership with the Andover Trails Committee and Friends of North Andover Trails.

Whether it’s your first visit to the property or you are a regular, enjoy a variety of guided hikes throughout Ward Reservation in Andover as well as refreshments by a roaring fire. And, if Mother Nature provides a winter wonderland, Ward Reservation, which has the highest point in Essex County (Holt Hill) offering great views of Boston on a clear day, is the perfect place to try out those cross-country skis, snowshoes, or sled you got for the holidays!

Snowman Contest on the Grand Allée

Looking for an outdoor activity to enjoy during school vacation? Come build snow people with us! What better place to form gigantic snowballs than the rolling hills at the Crane Estate? There will be a contest to determine the best winter characters – which snowman is the most traditional?  The most creative? The one that best represents Ipswich history? The one that best represents the Crane family? At the end of the day, enjoy some hot chocolate to warm up.

Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

An email with details about where to meet, what to bring, etc., will be sent to all registered participants a few days before the event.
